A new chapter on Whiskey Road
Local Junction opened in the fall of 2024 at 1208 Whiskey Road, in the former Harry’s Local Bar & Restaurant space, after a renovation of the building.
Where the name comes from
The name is a tribute to Harry’s and to Whiskey Junction, a nightclub that once stood nearby.
The cedar bars
The indoor and outdoor bars are built from a deodar cedar that came down in the 2014 ice storm.
Aiken on the walls
The walls carry memorabilia from athletes with Aiken ties, along with a set of Thoroughbred racing silks that were donated to the bar.
The squirrel
The squirrel at the center of our seal was inspired by the fox squirrels of Hitchcock Woods and the Palmetto Golf Club.
